１０代の頃アメリカ文化に強い憧れを抱き、２０代の頃アメリカに渡り様々な物を見て感じました。その後、物作りの世界で生きていきたいと決意し、自分の手で物を作る事の素晴らしさや難しさ奥深さを感じながら２５年になります。私は常々作るのならばこの上なく良い物、かっこ良い物、そして長く愛用出来る物を...と自分なりに追求してきました。
また、それと同時に自分らしさとは何だろう？と常々考えています。
私の作った物を通じて、それを見た人が何かを感じたり、手に取った人が幸せな気分になったりしたら作者としてこの上なく嬉しいです。
Message
When I was a teenager, I had a strong yearning for American culture, and when I was in my 20s, I traveled to the United States to see and feel various things. After that, I decided that I wanted to live in the world of craftsmanship, and it has been 25 years since then that I have felt the wonder, difficulty, and depth of making things with my own hands.
I have always pursued in my own way, "If I am going to make something, I want it to be the best, the coolest, and the one that can be used and loved for a long time.
I have always been thinking, "What is the essence of what is unique to me? I am always thinking about this.
As an artist, I would be more than happy if people who see my work feel something or if people who hold my work in their hands feel happy.

10代 海外のカルチャー、特にアメリカ文化に強く興味を持つ。

20代 20歳の頃アメリカに渡り様々な文化を見てまわる。帰国後宝飾店で勤務の後、自身のアトリエ「RED VALLEY」を木更津に構え活動を始める。

30~40代 様々なイベント、展覧会に出展。

アトリエ名を「WOKINI」に変更。

アメリカ、ナバホ族のインディアンアーティスト、Michael & Mark Roanhorse兄弟の元、ジュエリー制作を学ぶ。（Navajoリザベーション内のアトリエにて）

アメリカシアトルのBLACK BEAR BRANDとの作品コラボレーション。

50代 「WOKINI」から本名の「山口学（Manabu Yamaguchi Art Craft)」として1点物製作を主とした活動を開始。
My History
・1972 Born in Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture
・In my teens, I developed a strong interest in foreign culture, especially American culture.
・In my 20s, I traveled to the U.S. when I was in my 20s to see various cultures. After returning to Japan, I worked at a jewelry store before setting up my own atelier "RED VALLEY" in Kisarazu.
・In my 30s and 40s, I participated in various events and exhibitions.
・Changed the name of my atelier to "WOKINI".
・Studied jewelry making under the Roanhorse brothers, Navajo Indian artists in the United States.
・Collaborated with BLACK BEAR BRAND in Seattle, USA.
・In my 50's, I started to produce one-of-a-kind pieces under my real name "Manabu Yamaguchi Art Craft" instead of "WOKINI".
